Remodel Update

A message from Administrator Trey Look: I’m sure you all have been wondering how things have been here at Sandstone with the remodel project. Well, we are finally ready to let you know! As most of you know, we started this journey with the approval of a bond in 2018 thanks to the support of a wonderful community! The work on the project officially began at the beginning of 2020. Yes, it has taken a bit more time than expected due to the unforeseen COVID-19 virus that still plagues us today in more ways than one. The remodel was put into four phases, which included the new storm shelter. Each resident room of the facility was totally redone and now has its own bathroom! The hallways have new flooring and paint to match throughout the skilled side of the building.

All of this would not have been possible without the support of the patrons of Hospital District #2! Sandstone Heights just celebrated 50 years and with this project, we will be able to celebrate again in 50 more years! The support to this facility and to the staff at Sandstone is just simply amazing! Thank you again to all the people that helped get this project in place and completed, and to our awesome community that helps Sandstone Heights in so many ways. Here is to a great 2023 and another 50 years!
